As the song is about suicide, i will be using props which have a direct link with the lyrics in the song.

the plan will be to have a modern day "teenager smart-casual" with a dark feel so that this goes along with the genre of the music, as the song choice that i am doing is a rock, metal, scene band this is the general stereotypes and convention used for this type of music,

These hoodies go with the general idea's that are given towards our generation. fixed in with the norm in fashion for the audience with this genre of music.

Planning: possible casting

Casting:

the casting is very important as you need to know of they are comfortable on the camara.

Baz hill - one of the suicidal teens.

I felt that baz was a very good choice as he is confident on camara and is happy by nature, this will allow him to seem happy throughout the song even though the lyrics are everything but. He also is a large extrovert, therefore he won't shy out from being on camera for the song and he won't have any performance anxiety making better quality footage.


Emmie Walding - another suicidal character

I also felt that Emmie was a great pick for playing a suicidal teen as this gives diversity to the line up, and also she is great in front of the camera however, it will be hard to get her to sing as there is only one section sung by a girl and thats a young girl so Emmie is only a possible option.
Terry Walding - 3rd suicidal character

The 3rd suicidal teen is Terry as he is confident in front of the camera and doesn't get shy, He is  a very outgoing person, therefore making hims  more confident and extroverted. This will help in the production of the song as he will then be able look and act confident on the camera.

Planning: writing a treatment

In the song 'Bullet' I think that this is about suicide, but instead of taking it seriously it makes a mockery of it. the lyrics are generally morbid and gruesome which all are about suicide however the tempo is fast and the pitch is high, this gives a cheerful feeling to the song contradicting the lyrics. in my music video I would like to follow this general feeling to the song by keeping the video slightly light and not so depressed.

 



At the start of the music video I would like a dark screen which then lightens up and shows the location, there will be the first actor who will open up the song singing the chorus whilst sitting at a table with a pen and paper looking at the camera and at the end the camera angle drops and so does the actor as they then pick up the pen and put it to paper.

 

In order to keep the cheerful/suicidal feel to the song the effects that ill use will be fast and jumpy so that it looks cheerful however there will be blots of red and some effects will be in red to keep the connotation of blood.

 

The verses will then be on paper with the lyrics, this will have multiple effects, using the camara to come across the page and to use effects that use the colour red to stay in theme.

This song has multiple meanings within it however at a first glance it only shows one meaning, committing suicide;

This song is about someone who wants to commit suicide from taking pills, slitting their wrist, however al the lyrics shows that he has done all of this before but has failed, this shows that he could be having difficulty doing the act or maybe he doesn't really want to die. For example family members, when in the lyrics it says "momma feels guilt yeah momma feels pain, this could show that she is guilty about bringing up the character and it has led to this.

There is also the section with the lyrics "The father who swore he'd stay" this could show that the character is form a broken up family where the character was close to his father then he left making him upset/suicidal. There is also the section where he says "well if I don't die then ill see you tomorrow" this is sang in a mocking way which could be the character stating that if he doesn't die then its just another day for other people close to him but they don't share any sympathy with him.

There also is a section where he says "cause im more scarred, more scarred than my wrist is". which shows that he has been through a troubling life and has suffered more than he could handle. There is also the section at the start of the chorus "my legs are dangling of the edge" this could mean that he is hesitant and is waiting for someone to care but if no-one comes then he will jump, the section after this is "the bottom of the bottle is my only friend" this could show his loneliness as he is calling inanimate objects friends in comparison to people who have friends who wouldn't even consider this.

Also there is the ending of the song which is sung in a  childs voice which could be when he jumped and as hes died it has shown him again as this innocent child that has no more worries.

Research: Initial target audience

My target audience are young adults and up to middle aged people who are very outgoing, unorganised and like to keep to themselves and their group of friends, the majority of these people will be at university or higher education and will most likely be choosing courses such as music or drama, courses of the creative light. they also like to listen to this type of music all day everyday as this is there favourite hobby, they also like to play guitar but without the music pieces, etc. they are just made up on the spot just for fun.

 they normally spend a lot of time studying for their chosen course(s) whilst with their friends listening to music out load, however if they are on their own they will have headphones and keep to themselves.
